Can you do our move while we are away?

Absolutely! In our senior moving business, we work with out of state or out of country family members on a daily basis, keeping them tuned in and coordinating with them throughout the process.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, we have worked with multiple clients unable to reenter the country due to travel restrictions. We can provide a complete photo inventory and manage your entire move from start to finish if needed. Whatever needs to be done can be done to help you and your realtor close your property and get you into another home or storage.

What makes An Organized Move the premier move management company?

An Organized Move has taken the entire full-service moving and relocation process in-house. We not only offer complete packing, staging, downsizing, organizing, unpacking, and full set-up, but also utilize our own fleet of trucks so that neither we, nor you, have to rely on third-party vendors.

With one call to An Organized Move, all of your moving needs can be completed with just one company, including furniture removal and disposals to the landfill.

What is a senior move?

An Organized Move has over 10 years of experience as a pioneer in senior move management servicing senior living communities, either independent, assisted, or memory care. We understand the process is extremely difficult and will most likely be the hardest move our client (and their family) will have to make. Every one of these moves is completely unique and that is why we have developed such a broad range of personalized services.

During your free in-home moving consultation, we will go over exactly where you are in the process, where you are going, and everything in between in order to get you or your family member into their new space comfortably.

What is an in-home estimate?

During an in-home estimate, one of our hands-on owners will come to your home and go room by room to complete a visual survey of the belongings you plan to move, identify truck access and carry distance, and work one on one with you in order to provide an accurate estimate at the best flat rate price with no hidden fees. During the consultation, we can also assist in designing a floor plan, preparing your home for sale with a staging checklist, and help you in managing the entire move, including donation, furniture removal, and downsizing, if needed.

Will the mover load the boxes that I packed?

Yes, An Organized Move even provides free recycled moving boxes and packing material to clients moving locally, just call us to collect them after your done unpacking. Going into storage or long distance we have great prices on new supplies.

Please note, we do not recommend our clients pack their own belongings with liquor or amazon boxes, as these are not designed to stack high with weight in a moving truck.

Will the mover unpack my boxes at my new home?

Complete packing and unpacking services are available! Unpacking services include organization, wiping down furniture, and rearrangement of items so that you don’t have to lift a finger! Even if you go on vacation, we can handle your entire relocation so that upon your return your new residence is ready to live in!

How should I move my jewelry and other valuable items?

An Organized Move recommends you always transport your own jewelry and other high-value items if possible. However, we will gladly move them for you, but you must mention them in your consultation so that we have the proper packing materials for them on moving day. Please do not hide these items in your furniture! If your items are of extremely high value, we would need you to sign them into one of our owner operator’s possession. Upon completion of your move, we will sign them back over to you!

Can I leave the items in my dresser drawers?

Though it does depends on the piece of furniture, as many will get turned on their side during transport while on dollies, Yes, you can leave clothing and other non-breakable items in your dresser drawers! To minimize shifting we will place moving pads in the drawers to fill the voids.

What are the methods of payment accepted for my move?

You can pay for your move with cash, money order, check, or credit (though there will be a 3% processing fee through Square). An Organized Move gladly accepts the following credit cards: MasterCard, Visa, Discover and American Express.

Should I tip my movers?

An Organized Move strives to deliver the highest level of service with each move. We do not require customers to tip their movers nor is a gratuity included in your moving fees. Although tipping is not part of An Organized Move’s policy, it is greatly appreciated, especially if your movers have done an exceptional job. Posting online reviews are easy ways to ensure your positive experience is noted.

Can I pack and move my plants?

Though we do not transport plants with dirt in our moving trucks, we advise that you please speak with a moving consultant about options and available solutions we can provide!
